The webmaster and SEO group, along with the automated Google tracking tools; all show strong symptoms that there was a Google algorithm ranking update. Its hit black hat SEO, duplicate content and keyword stuffing website.
Since last night morning, the SEO market has been watching an unconfirmed Search engines ranking update that seems to focus on more of the connection top quality elements of the overall algorithm such as Panda update, Pigeon update, Hummingbird update, Penguin update and many more.
Many People are calling this Fred Update, a name we’re also implementing. That came from Google’s Gary lllyes, who has amusingly recommended that all up-dates be known as “Fred.” It’s keeping this one.
We’ve seen more gossip and reviews of changes from within the “black hat” SEO community, which generally means that this is a spam algorithm update around links. Before we revealed a link spam-related update was in early Feb, and that upgrade also was unconfirmed by Google.
There was also a content top quality Google update on Feb 7 that was never verified. As you expect, Bing is very unlikely to ensure algorithm up-dates these days — but that won’t stop us from confirming large changes in the search results that express an algorithm update has occurred.
All over of the Google automated tracking tools such as Google analytics and Google webmaster currently show important changes and fluctuations, which is an indication of an all algorithm Google update. Plus, with all the market chatter, and with webmaster both stressing about ranking decreases and rejoicing about ranking improves, it’s likely that there was a Google update.
We are patiently waiting to listen to from Google if they have any opinion. All we have right now are the average Google lines from John Mueller and Gary lllyes that Search engines makes up-dates at all times.
